Position Overview

As an Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our clients receive unparalleled service and support. You will act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, managing their accounts, addressing their needs, and working closely with internal teams to deliver tailored insurance solutions. Your goal will be to build and maintain strong client relationships, drive client satisfaction, and contribute to the growth and success of our agency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders. Serve as the primary point of contact for your assigned accounts, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing expert advice on insurance matters.
  • Account Oversight: Manage a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts, including policy renewals, endorsements, and claims. Ensure that clients' insurance programs are comprehensive, cost-effective, and aligned with their business needs.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments and analyses to identify potential gaps in coverage and recommend appropriate solutions. Collaborate with clients to understand their risk profile and insurance requirements.
  • Policy Placement: Work with insurance carriers to obtain and negotiate coverage options, terms, and pricing. Ensure that policy placements are competitive and meet clients' needs.
  • Claims Management: Oversee the claims process from start to finish. Work with clients and insurers to facilitate prompt and fair resolution of claims. Provide guidance and support to clients throughout the claims process.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and support junior account managers and staff. Share industry knowledge and best practices to enhance team performance and development.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all insurance transactions and documentation are accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory requirements. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and best practices.
  • Business Development: Identify opportunities for expanding existing client relationships and acquiring new business. Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for client retention and growth.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in commercial insurance account management, with a proven track record of managing complex accounts and high-value clients.
  • Attributes:
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills.
    • Proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • Skills:
    • Experience with Applied EPIC Agency Management System preferred.
    • Strong understanding of commercial insurance products, including Management Liability and Cyber Liability.
    • Exceptional client service skills with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
    • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
    • Proficiency in insurance software and technology platforms.
    • Ability to analyze risk and develop strategic insurance solutions.
